Bank & card statements

What file formats can I import?
OFX, QFX and CSV. Export one of these from your bank or card issuer's website, then drag it onto the import panel (Dashboard → Import, or the Bank Accounts / Credit Cards pages).
Will it create duplicate transactions?
No. ClearMint Essentials detects duplicates by transaction ID, or by matching date, description and amount, and skips them — so re-importing the same statement is safe.
It says it can't read my PDF.
PDF statements aren't supported in Essentials. Export OFX, QFX or CSV from your bank instead — it's faster and more accurate.
My account or card was created automatically — why?
When you import a statement, we create the matching account or card from the file so your transactions have a home. You can rename or edit it on the Bank Accounts / Credit Cards page.
Using the app

Entries & totals

How do I add a transaction by hand?
Use "Manual transaction" on the Dashboard or Transactions page. Choose a bank account or card, the date, amount, direction (in/out), category and notes.
How are my dashboard totals calculated?
Income = bank credits (excluding transfers) + card credits + standalone Income entries. Expenses = bank debits (excluding transfers) + card purchases + standalone Expense entries. Bills are a planning layer shown under "Upcoming bills" until the matching transaction appears.
Can I edit cells directly?
Yes — click a cell in any table to edit it inline. You can also sort columns, search, and filter by date, account, category, type or source.
How do I export my data?
Every table has an "Export CSV" button. To back up everything, go to Settings → "Export all data (JSON)".
Account & billing

Plans, sign-in & data

Do I need an account?
No — you can use it offline with data stored in your browser. Create an account to sync across devices.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Manage your subscription from the Stripe receipt email, or upgrade from Settings → Plan & billing in the app. Cancel anytime.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → "Erase all data" wipes this device and your cloud row. See Data Deletion for the full process.
